Eid Mubārak - Hajj 2026 / 1447

Dear brothers and sisters, Eid Mubārak. May Allah Ta‘ālā accept the Hajj of all who stood on the plains of ʿArafah this year, and may He bring many blessed Eids into our lives. These sacred days — the Day of ʿArafah on the ninth of Dhul‑Ḥijjah and the Day of Eid on the tenth — are the very days Allah swears by in Sūrat al‑Fajr:

“By the dawn, by the ten nights, by the even and the odd, and by the night as it passes…” (Qur’an 89:1–4).

Such an oath signals the immense weight and blessing of these moments.

The virtues of these days extend to every believer — those performing Hajj and those honoring the sanctity of the season from afar. Fasting during the first ten days is greatly rewarded, and the fast of the ninth, the Day of ʿArafah, was especially emphasized by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who taught that it expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year. Celebrating the tenth day, the Day of Eid, is a sign of Allah’s mercy and a joy we are all encouraged to share.

Even as we celebrate, we remain aware of the painful events affecting Muslims across North America. Yet our faith teaches us to hold firm to the decree of Allah while also taking every measure to protect ourselves and our communities. Vigilance is an act of responsibility, not fear. Be attentive, be aware, and look out for anything unusual. At the same time, let our gatherings be filled with patience, courtesy, and compassion.

Be generous with your smile, your kindness, and your wealth. Give for the sake of Allah — give to the poor, give from your Qurbani, and spend on your families so that joy spreads through every home. The Prophet ﷺ reminded us that charity never decreases wealth, and generosity in these blessed days is beloved to Allah.

May Allah accept your ṣadaqah, your fasting, your duʿā, and every act of goodness you offer. May He fill your homes with peace, your hearts with light, and your Eid with blessings.

Eid Mubārak.
