Women’s Group Activities

  • Dream it.

Not being able to spkeak the language of the land you live in can make ones life difficulty. ICR Women’s Group has partnered with others in the community to provide Engling language lessons to our new arrivals and others who may need it.

  • Build it.

Food insecurity is a reality for some of our brothers and sisters in the community. Many of them do not drive or do not have access to reliable transportation to get to area food pantries. Besides, most pantries do not provide halal options. ICR sisters stepped up to organize volunteers to pick up, package and distribute food to some of these families every week.

  • Grow it.

Mothers are our first teachers. It is harder to raise children with good education without the mother being educated. It is particularly difficult in our communities due to limited opportunities for children’s Islamic education. At ICR the sisters are encouraged to congragate in the masjid, build friendship with each other to increase their religious knowledge and be supportive of each other.
