Eid arrives as we close Ramadan with gratitude, prayer, and community at the Islamic Center of Riverside.

Eid at the Islamic Center of Riverside

Joyful Conclusion to Ramadan and a Celebration of Community

As the blessed month of Ramadan comes to a close, the Islamic Center of Riverside warmly invites the community to gather in gratitude, unity, and celebration for Eid al‑Fitr. After a month of fasting, prayer, and service, Eid is our moment to come together, thank Allah for His blessings, and honor the people who made this Ramadan meaningful for our entire community.

To accommodate our growing community, ICR will hold two Eid prayers:

First Jamat

  • Takbeerat: 7:30 AM
  • Salah: 8:00 AM
  • Khateeb: Imam Mahmoud Harmoush

Second Jamat

  • Takbeerat: 9:00 AM
  • Salah: 9:15 AM
  • Khateeb: Ameer Siddique

After each salah, sweets and snacks will be provided for all attendees. Please enjoy them while maintaining the spirit of Eid—warmth, courtesy, and gratitude.

Eid morning will be busy, especially on a weekday. To ensure a smooth and safe experience:

  • Parking is limited—please arrive early.
  • Carpool whenever possible to reduce congestion.
  • Park legally and avoid:
    • Fire lanes
    • Entry/exit points
    • Double parking
    • Blocking other vehicles

Illegally parked cars may be towed, and blocking someone on a workday can cause real hardship. Let’s uphold the dignity of Eid by being considerate and responsible.

To help the second jamat enter smoothly, attendees of the first jamat are kindly asked to depart promptly and in an orderly manner after enjoying their sweets and greetings.

A gentle but important reminder:

  • Zakat al‑Fitr must be given before Eid salah.
  • If paid after the prayer, it becomes regular sadaqah.

Please fulfill this obligation on time so families in need may celebrate Eid with joy and dignity.

This Ramadan was made possible by the dedication of countless individuals who served quietly and tirelessly:

  • Volunteers who managed crowds, cleaned, organized, and supported every program
  • Workers who kept the masjid running smoothly throughout the month
  • Families and individuals who sponsored iftar and suhoor
  • Everyone who contributed time, effort, or resources for the sake of Allah

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you. Your service is a sadaqah jariyah, and may Allah reward you abundantly for every moment spent supporting the community.

As we gather to celebrate, let us embody the true spirit of Eid—mercy, kindness, patience, and joy. Greet one another with warmth, make space for families, and help create an atmosphere where every person feels welcomed and uplifted.

Eid Mubarak from the Islamic Center of Riverside.
