Membership Resource Guide & FAQ

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Membership at the Islamic Center of Riverside (ICR) is more than an annual registration — it is a commitment to supporting the masjid, strengthening our community, and participating in the shared governance of our institution. This guide provides an overview of membership types, benefits, fees, eligibility, and frequently asked questions.

1. Why membership matters

Becoming an ICR member allows you to:

  • Participate in community activities and programs
  • Support committees and volunteer initiatives
  • Strengthen the masjid through your dues and engagement
  • Become eligible (after meeting requirements) to vote and serve on the Board of Directors or Board of Trustees
  • Help shape the future of the Riverside Muslim community

Membership is one of the most direct ways to support the masjid’s mission, stability, and long‑term growth.

2. Membership term & renewal

  • The ICR membership year runs from January 1 – December 31.
  • Membership must be renewed annually.
  • Memberships not renewed on time become inactive.
  • Members with unpaid dues after March 15 will receive a cancellation notice.
  • Membership can be restored by paying dues by April 30.
  • After April 30, the membership is forfeited and the individual must reapply as a new Associate Member.

3. Membership fees

Membership fees for the upcoming year remain the same as in years past:

  • Adult Member: $60
